A Look Inside

Photos of our space, activities, and daily routines.

These are real photos of the home on Wendell Street in South Riding — not stock images. 12 children spend their day across these rooms: an open playroom with a wooden climbing structure, a separate nap room where each child has their own crib, a mealtime area where breakfast, lunch, and snack are served, and a diapering station next to the sink.

Because this is licensed home-based child care rather than a center, the same rooms serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers together — which is how the younger children pick up so much from the older ones. Photos are the next best thing to visiting, but they aren't a substitute. Most families decide after they've stood in the space.

Indoor climbing and ride-on toys mean active play continues through Virginia winters and rainy weeks.

Every child has their own crib for naps, spaced per Virginia's safe sleep requirements.
Mealtime and activity room with a row of infant high chairs on either side and a low table with toddler-sized chairs in the center.
Mealtimes happen here. Infants eat in high chairs alongside the toddlers at the low table, so the youngest children are always in sight of a caregiver.

Come see it in person

Tours run during regular hours so you can see the space while the children are actually in it — that tells you more than an empty room. Call (703) 542-2566 or request a visit.
